Med støtte fra Udenrigs- og Kulturministeriet er vi glade for at kunne invitere 3 danske branche personer/artister med til Australian, hvor vi skal besøge Port Fairy Folk Festival og WOMADelaide, som over årene har været nogle af nøglespillerne i at bringe nordiske bands til den anden ende af verden.
I denne omgang er dansk/svenske Åkervinda på turné i Australien, ligesom at andre danske bands har kontakt til bookerne på festivalerne for at arrangere kommende års tournévirksomhed. Det vil vi som genreorganisation naturligvis gerne støtte op om og har derfor søsat projektet Connecting Roots, der skal være med til at forbinde os nærmere til de markeder, der kunne have eller allerede har interesse for den danske musikscene.
Hvis man bliver udvalgt til at deltage i denne delegation modtager man:
- 10.000,00 DKK i tilskud til transport
- Akkrediteringer med backstage adgang til Portfairy Folk Festival
- Akkrediteringer med backstage adgang til WOMADelaide
- Hotel d. 6.-8. Marts i forbindelse med Port Fairy Folk Festival
- Hotel d. 8.-10. Marts i forbindelse med WOMADelaide
Vi arbejder på nuværende tidspunkt på at få det nærmere program med møder og netværksaktiviteter på plads, men for nu vil vi gerne give jer muligheden for at ansøge om at være med, da vi gerne vil give jer maksimalt tid til at planlægge jeres kalender.

ENGLISH SUMMARY
Connecting Roots Australia is an international inspiration and networking trip to Australia in March 2026, organized by Tempi · Roots Music Denmark in collaboration with the Australian music industry and supported by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture.
Three Danish music professionals/artists will be selected to join the delegation. The program includes visits to Port Fairy Folk Festival and WOMADelaide, two key festivals that have played an important role in introducing Nordic and Danish artists to the Australian market.
The project aims to strengthen connections between the Danish roots music scene and international markets with existing or potential interest in Danish music. The trip coincides with Danish/Swedish band Åkervinda touring Australia, as well as ongoing dialogue between Danish artists and Australian festival bookers about future touring opportunities.
Selected participants will receive:
- DKK 10,000 travel support
- Festival accreditation with backstage access to both festivals
- Hotel accommodation from 6–10 March 2026 (covering both festivals)
The application deadline is 15 January 2026, with responses expected on 16 January 2026.
